We propose a very special program: Spanish Course and ‘Religious Experience’ in Madrid
In the morning you will have your Intensive Spanish Course and after 2:00pm we will visit the most iconic sights of Madrid’s Religious Heritage. Here you can find some of the sights:
San Isidro Labrador, Madrid’s Patron Saint
Discover the old Cathedral of Madrid, called San Isidro Collegiate Church, built in the 17th century and whose main altar is the grave of Madrid’s patron saint.
Pope John Paul II consecrated this cathedral in June 1993, making it the only church in Spain to be sanctified. It is one of the most iconic buildings of Madrid’s religious heritage and one of the most visited sights. Without a doubt a ‘Religious Experience’ in Madrid.
The Basilica of Jesus de Medinaceli is built on an old convent founded in 1806. One of the highlights of its architecture is the wonderful stained-glass windows throughout the temple which reflect the history of devotion to the Christ.
A doubly special visit. Walk through the halls of one of the most internationally-known museums while you discover some of the most famous religious works of art. The Prado National Museum possesses one of the most valuable and important collections of the world, in which the religious paintings have a fundamental role formed by artists as distinguished as Murillo, Velázquez, José de Ribera or Coello.
