Our students often say that we Spaniards speak very fast. They also tell us that they have difficulty differentiating between ser<\/em> and estar<\/em>, between por<\/em> and para<\/em>, between the indicative<\/em> and the subjunctive<\/em>, between le<\/em> and se<\/em> or between the past perfect<\/em> and the imperfect<\/em>.<\/p>\n

It is true that for people who speak Latin languages, Spanish is easier to learn. But the truth is that we know many students from all backgrounds who have reached very high levels of Spanish: Chinese, Arabs, Russians, Japanese, among others…<\/p>\n
