Spanish Course and Volunteering Program in Madrid

Take a break: learn Spanish and discover the culture in Madrid while participating in a unique and altruistic experience. With our Spanish Course and Volunteering Program you will grow as a person and feel a unique personal satisfaction. With our program you can combine a deep immersion in the Spanish language and culture with volunteering in different sectors, according to your interests, studies or skills. The program is available all year-round and lasts between 3 and 7 months. In order to participate, you must be at least 18 years old. You must also have enough maturity to commit to volunteering. Finally, you have to complete and submit the application documentation 8 weeks before the start of the program.

What is the Spanish Course and Volunteering Program like

To be able to sign up, you must have an intermediate-high level of Spanish, preferably the equivalent of the basic diploma of the Instituto Cervantes, if you do not have it, the student must complete more than 4 weeks of intensive Spanish course. First, you will receive an Intensive Spanish Course of 20 hours per week (4 lessons per day) for 4 weeks to improve your Spanish. If you do not have the required B1 level, you must attend classes for a longer period of time. While doing so, you can participate in the activities of our cultural program. At all times, you will have guidance and tutorials by the Academic Tutor of Internships. Then you can start with the volunteering program in an organization in Madrid. At the end of the program, you will receive a Certificate of participation in the Spanish and Volunteering Course.

• Psychological guidance: work as a volunteer psychologist giving guidance to different groups.
• Shelters for animals: these projects function as a network and consist of sheltering unprotected animals in the homes of people who voluntarily host them.
• Soup kitchens: serving the most disadvantaged people in Madrid.
• Environmental volunteering: conservation projects for the natural areas of Madrid (parks, forests, etc.).
• School support for youth: one of the most popular options, school support for children and youth in schools. It is not necessary to be a teacher, just have specific knowledge and know how to teach.
• Other sectors: gender-based violence, logistics, emigration, childhood support, forest clearing, help to the elderly…
